Tony Gray isn’t one to talk about much about his recruitment.

But this week, the 4-star tackle from Central Gwinnett High School spoke briefly with the AJC about his latest visits and upcoming plans.

Gray and an entourage of 10 or so of his teammates took a visit to both Kentucky and Ohio State last weekend and gave it high marks.

“It was great up there (Kentucky),” said Gray. “I met with the whole coaching staff, and it was just terrific. I went to Ohio State and did the same thing.”

Gray has been fairly active all summer. He’s taken unofficial visits to Auburn, Clemson and UGA. But as it stands, the lineman has yet to declare any leaders or schools of interest, for that matter.

“I don’t have an interest in anyone right now,” Gray said. “As of right now, I don’t. I haven’t been looking at who’s been recruiting me the most. It’s been a quiet time. I’ve just been doing my thing on the field.”

Gray, who has an offer from UGA, says he hasn’t been in recent contact with any members of the Bulldogs coaching staff, either. He’s certain that’ll change as the season continues.

As for his plans this fall, he tells the AJC that he’ll likely take unofficial visits to Florida, Miami and LSU.

“Those are some of the schools I haven’t visited yet,” Gray said. “Why should I have an offer from a school and not go and visit them?”
