UGA commit Julian Rochester is one of the Bulldogs’ biggest recruiters.

Rochester, a 5-star defensive tackle from McEachern High School, told the AJC that he is personally recruiting many of UGA’s top remaining targets, including Rashan Gary (nation’s No. 1 prospect from New Jersey), along with receiver Kyle Davis of Archer and defensive tackle Derrick Brown of Lanier..

Even though Rochester has been vocal with his courting of some of the nation’s best prospects, Rochester is still thinking over whether or not he wants to spend time at some other schools and take his official visits.

“I’m not sure yet,” Rochester told the AJC. “I’m still debating about that. I know where my heart is at, so we’ll see how it plays out.”

Rochester wanting to go to other colleges on that school’s dime should not be a big concern for Bulldogs fans, he insists.

In fact, to show how unimportant it is that Rochester wants to take officials elsewhere, he is considering becoming an early enrollee at UGA.

“I’m still thinking that over right now,” he said. “I just love Georgia a lot.”

At this moment, his father, Michael Rochester, chimed in when his son was asked about becoming an early enrollee.

“I’m ready for him to go,” Rochester’s father joked. “I’m looking forward to him leaving. I won’t miss him at all. I’m just kidding. I love him so much.”

As soon as his father finished speaking, the 6-foot-5, 322-pounder got a big kiss on his right cheek.

His father isn’t the only one that’s showing Julian love. Even though he committed to the school back in May, UGA coaches still talk to him almost every day. They keep reminding him how important he is for the future of Dawg Nation.

“Georgia is still recruiting me really hard,” he said. “They’re still pushing me hard to build this recruiting class and having me talk to all of these guys.”

As for his senior season goals, Rochester says he wants to get 25 sacks and make “all-country.”

If he did that when he wears the red and black, I think he would have Mark Richt kissing one cheek and UGA defensive line coach Tracy Rocker kissing the other.
