A week ago, Jeawon Taylor conceded to DawgNation that Georgia could be a fallback option in light of the hiring of Kirby Smart. The four-star safety didn’t have an offer then, but he does now.

On Tuesday, the Bulldogs extended one to the Florida commit and standout from Montogomery, Ala., he confirmed to DawgNation. Taylor, who has been committed to the Gators for roughly four months, is rated as the No. 19 prospect in Alabama.

“It may be because he was there (for me) before I blew up and became what I am today,” Taylor said of the Bulldogs in a recent interview. “Kirby Smart is just a great coach. That’s the bottom line.”

Coincidentally, Taylor is actively recruiting another Bulldogs target — Lyndell Wilson. He and the five-star linebacker are close friends and have considered the possibility of playing together. Just recently, Wilson included Georgia among his final five schools. He will take an official visit to UGA in January.

Taylor told DawgNation that he is not sure when he plans on either firming up his commitment to Florida or if he will look elsewhere.
