UGA in play with recent 4-star FSU de-commit
Florida State’s recent 4-star de-commitment opens up a lane for UGA to recruit yet another talented 2016 receiver.
Keith Gavin is the name this time. He’s a 4-star recruit per the 247sports composite rankings. The Wakulla, Fla., standout has been assessed as the No. 25 WR in the country for 2016 based on those rankings, and the No. 144 player overall.
UGA already has a commitment from three senior receivers, plus another hybrid recruit who could also line up at tight end. There are at least another four elite receivers among this year’s signing class who are also considering UGA.
The industry rumor mill feels his interest in Alabama sparked the de-commitment. The Bleacher Report’s Sanjay Kirpalani covered that angle, but Gavin did make a trip to UGA for Dawg Night on July 18.
