E.J. Price committed to UGA earlier this year but withdrew that pledge in June. He de-committed, but that didn’t halt the interest from either party.

The senior offensive lineman from Georgia’s Archer High School shared a quick snapshot of where things stand along his recruiting process and that has resulted in some good news this for UGA fans.

UGA is his leader.

“Auburn making a big push,” Price told DawgNation. “LSU and USC as well as Michigan State but yes UGA is leading.”

The 4-star recruit also said it is “not a significant lead.”  He also told DawgNation that he will visit Auburn this weekend. That will give the Tigers a chance to shrink or even close that gap.

Price was presented with his jersey as a member of Under Armour’s All-American team for 2016 earlier this month in a ceremony at the school. He spoke to DawgNation at that event and was high on UGA and Auburn at that time.

The 6-foot-6, 311-pounder is rated as the nation’s No. 8 offensive tackle for 2016.  His high school team is loaded with next-level prospects and is surging heading into the state playoffs. Archer has won its last five games in a row and is now 7-1. The average margin of victory for those wins has been by 39 points.
