UGA offers a two-way prospect from Jim Harbaugh’s backyard
UGA offered a unique prospect on Monday. Junior Antjuan Simmons, a 3-star prospect who hails from the same city as the University of Michigan, is slotted as the nation’s No. 33 outside linebacker for the Class of 2017.
Simmons shared the news of the UGA offer on Monday via his Twitter account. He stated that it was his 29th offer, but he told DawgNation shortly thereafter that the scholarship opportunity was to play running back for UGA.
The 6-foot-1, 205-pounder also recently just picked up an offer from his home city Wolverines over the last week. He also took an unofficial visit to Michigan over the weekend.
UGA is the sixth school from the SEC to offer Simmons. He’s also been offered by Kentucky, LSU, Ole Miss, Tennessee and Vanderbilt. He’s also been offered by Michigan State, Miami (Fla.), Nebraska, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State and Wisconsin, among others.
