Stephon Wynn Jr. tweeted out two major pieces of news on Wednesday night.
- His decision date is set. It will be July 1 for the nation’s No. 5 strong-side defensive end (247Sports Composite.
- He’s whittled it down to three schools in Alabama, Georgia and South Carolina.
Wynn is considered one of UGA’s top targets on the defensive line for 2018. The 6-foot-4, 275-pounder has the ability to play at defensive end or defensive tackle.

Scott had been recruiting the South Carolina standout when he was at North Carolina. That relationship has flourished since Scott arrived in Athens and Wynn chose to play his senior season at IMG Academy.
He’ll make this decision from his hometown in Anderson at the local rec center. Wynn is the son of former Clemson TE Stephon Wynn.
How does he feel about Georgia? Wynn has told DawgNation the Bulldogs were doing all they could to reel him and that they were one of his top choices.
This decision could bode well for the Bulldogs in an effort to really seize some momentum on the recruiting trail. Georgia awaits the decision from the nation’s No. 1 RB in Zamir White on June 27.

The 247Sports Crystal Ball has the majority of predictions favoring Clemson. That’s his father’s alma mater, but the Tigers did not make the final group. Georgia was next in line with those predictions with 38% pointing Wynn to play for the Bulldogs.
