Add Texas to that list. Mannie Netherly, a 3-star receiver from Crosby High in Texas, tweeted out on Monday that he had received a scholarship offer from UGA. Netherly said it was his 17th offer at this time.
The 6-foot-2, 180-pounder is listed as the No. 50 WR in the nation and the No. 33 player in Texas for the Class of 2017. The biggest programs among his offer list are UGA, Michigan State, Missouri, Nebraska, TCU and Texas A&M. Oklahoma and Texas have yet to offer Netherly.
It is an opportunity for UGA to add to its successs recruiting receivers from Texas. Davion Curtis, a 3-star from the Class of 2016, committed to UGA earlier this year.
