Watch the first play of Taylor County sophomore Lyn-J Dixon’s Hudl highlight video.

The clip shows Dixon catching a pass out into the flat and taking off like he’s got a pair of rocket roller skates that we’re used to seeing in a “Road Runner vs. Wil. E. Coyote” cartoon.

Dixon’s blinding speed provides a compelling reason why UGA offered the promising 4-star prospect despite the fact he won’t graduate until 2018. The AJC’s DawgNation confirmed the offer with Taylor County head coach Mark Wilson on Wednesday morning.

He caught that ball about a step shy of the right hash and then reversed his field before finding a passing lane down the visitor’s sideline. Dixon made a man miss, shucked another tackle and then exploded along an impressive 81-yard touchdown that is as a proper showcase for his impressive speed.

Dixon had about a 15-yard cushion on the defensive pursuit by the time he crossed the goal line.

The crazy part is that clip was even from his freshman season.  Dixon grew up a Georgia Tech fan, but he was in attendance for UGA’s season opener earlier this year.

He’s regarded by the 247sports composite as the No. 8 prospect in Georgia for the Class of 2018. According to reports, the 5-foot-10, 177-pounder also picked up an offer from Tennessee back in July.
