UGA offers a talented athlete from South Carolina
UGA sent out an offer to a talented sophomore athlete from South Carolina on Friday.
Rock Hill sophomore Derion “DK” Kendrick tweeted Friday morning that he has received an offer from UGA.
The 6-foot-1, 180-pounder told DawgNation he was offered as an athlete.
There are now six reported offers for Kendrick, with UGA joining Clemson, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.
Kendrick is listed as a free safety on his Hudl player page, but his mid-season highlights from this fall show him bringing down touchdowns as an outside receiver. He’s making the plays that attract SEC scholarship offers even though he still has 2-plus seasons of high school football to play.
