UGA targets get faces painted on Tennessee rock
Recruiting can be a game of which school can impress a recruit more so than the next. Tennessee may have taken the crown for three of Georgia’s top recruits today.
Mecole Hardman, Jr. (5-star athlete from Elbert County), Kyle Davis (5-star WR from Archer) and Peachtree Ridge’s DeAngelo Gibbs (5-star CB/WR) and Breon Dixon (4-star LB), who are all big Tennessee targets, are all visiting the SEC school this weekend. Also painted on the rock is 4-star athlete Maleik Gray from Tennessee.
To welcome them to town, someone painted The Rock, which is a famous landmark on campus, to include the faces of Hardman, Gibbs and Dixon with the caption “Are you the next great face of the Vols?”
Dixon told the AJC that the kids are not allowed to take a picture posing in front of the rock.
Having seen these elite prospects in person, the rocks look nothing like them. But the thought behind it is what counts and I’m sure the kids loved it.
This is definitely one of the more unique recruiting pitches we have seen.
