The guy with the red hair committed to UGA today. That’s what DawgNation is barking about.
The name Netori Johnson will mean a lot more than that to the fans soon. He’s fun. He’s funny. The cartwheeling kid has slept in the home of Deion Sanders and dyed his hair every color but yellow.
Beat writers will love having the chance to get to talk to him after games. They just won’t have as much fun as the running backs who will surge behind his blocks. UGA Class of 2016 tailback signee Elijah Holyfield beamed when he learned Johnson committed to Georgia on Tuesday.
Holyfield knows his career average yards per carry at UGA go north every time another big 6-foot-4, 350-pounder commits to play for Georgia, much less an athletic body type with Johnson’s skills.
“Anytime you get a lineman that’s exciting for me, but with this one from what I have seen, he is pretty huge,” Holyfield said. “I know his teammate Justin Shaffer pretty well. So if he’s anything like Justin, then I know we will be able to go. I’ve never had the chance to run behind some big linemen like this so I am pretty excited.”
