ELBERTON, Ga. — Mecole Hardman, Jr. started calling the coaches who recruited him the longest and the best last night. The nation’s No. 1 athlete told DawgNation that he had made his decision during his time last week at The International Bowl in Texas.

When he got back home to Elberton, Ga. on Monday, he was good with his decision. The 5-star prospect told his parents and they finished off the final touches for his National Signing Day announcement ceremony set for 8:30 a.m. from the Elbert County High School gym.

Hardman told DawgNation that he likely wasn’t going to go to sleep on Tuesday night and he planned an early 6 a.m. haircut so he would be looking just right for his big day.  UGA is the favorite here, but he’s also strongly considering Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Ohio State and Tennessee, among others.

Watch the live feed below for all the details from his signing ceremony. Hardman is planning to line up six cakes of his finalists on Wednesday. He’ll have flags bearing the logos of each of his finalists on those cakes.
