What does NFL legend Deion Sanders think about UGA target Jamyest Williams?
Jamyest Williams will take an important official visit to UGA this weekend.
The Athens native is still committed to South Carolina. Yet there is some conflict there. The 5-foot-9, 175-pounder has likely always known the Bulldogs would always be in it until the end regarding his decision.
Williams will be the top-rated recruit in town this weekend for his official visit. He brings quite a lot to the table in the secondary, but don’t take my word for it in this case.
NFL legend Deion Sanders got to work with Williams during the Under Armour All-American game week festivities last month in Orlando.

Sanders, one of the greatest cornerbacks in football history, liked what he saw.
What didĀ he tell Williams?
“I’m a very competitive player that understands the game,” Williams said. “I have the mentality of a pro with a short memory that doesn’t allow bad plays to affect my play.”
That final national composite rankings list Williams as the nation’s No. 8 cornerback prospect for 2017. He was also ratedĀ the nation’s No. 74 overall player.
Opinions vary about rankings. Sanders sounded convinced. He gave Williams another impressive compliment while at the Under Armour event.
“(He said) that I play the game the way it is supposed to be played,” Williams said.
Those words meant a great deal to Williams. Ā A recent tweet shows how the 5-foot-9 corner fared against the nation’s top receivers at the Under Armour event.

Williams told DawgNation that Sanders was one of the guys he studied. He also said heĀ doesn’t watch a lot of football. At leastĀ not in the classic sense of big games on television.
But what he does is study film of the great players of today and yesterday.Ā Who does he study the most?
“Tyrann Mathieu probably but I take pieces from all types of defensive backs,” he said.
Several reports came out today that note Williams will make his final decision at 9 a.m. on National Signing Day from Grayson High School.
Is there any chance at a flip? A few fans noticed a recent tweet in which he wore a Georgia rubber band.

His official visit this weekend will play a large role there. His former Grayson teammate DeAngelo Gibbs might have the chance to serve as his host.
