Nigel Warrior isn’t releasing a top five until the middle of his high school season, but he knows two schools that will definitely be on his list.

Warrior, a 4-star safety from Peachtree Ridge High School, told the AJC on Thursday night that Ohio State and Alabama have two of his five coveted spots locked up.

“Ohio State — they were national champs,” Warrior said. “That was the first team that offered me. I’ve always watched Ohio State play and I love how they play.”

On Alabama: “That’s a winning team. That’s a family. They play as a family. They hustle to the ball. They just get to the ball and somehow make a play.”

Who else is in the mix? Warrior told the AJC that UGA and Tennessee are in the running, among other schools.

The 5-foot-11, 188-pounder spoke about the Bulldogs’ and Volunteers’ chances of landing in his top five in the video at the top of this page. By the sound of it, UGA and Tennessee are likely to be two other schools to be in his narrowed down list.

In the video, he also talks about the possibility of being a package deal with his cousin — who just so happens to be 2017 5-star CB/WR DeAngelo Gibbs.

Gibbs, who is also Warrior’s teammate at Peachtree Ridge, could potentially be next year’s No. 1 overall player.
