Matthew Stafford reportedly wants to be a rich, rich man.

As reported by CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora on Sunday morning, the agent of the former Georgia quarterback will seek a deal with the Detroit Lions would be worth more than the $25 million earned per season by Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Stafford’s current contract is set to end in 2017.

Stafford has impressed this season, throwing for 2,373 yards with 18 touchdowns and five interceptions during the Lions’ 5-4 start.

His current play builds his case to earn a massive new deal. He’ll earn $17 million this season and $16.5 million next year in base salary. He made $9.5 million in base salary last year.

Stafford, 28, was named a Pro Bowl player in 2014. He also was awarded the NFL’s Comeback Player of the Year in 2011.
