Georgia kicker Rodrigo Blankenship was an internet sensation for much of this season, drawing attention not only for his kicking prowess but the “rec specs” he wears on the field.

After the National Championship Game, late-night host Jimmy Kimmel gave Blankenship a shoutout.

If you look closely, you can see Blankenship’s reflection off his computer screen — and yes, he’s still wearing the rec specs.

Blankenship was a huge reason the Bulldogs made it to the College Football Playoff title game. He made the longest field goal in Rose Bowl history — 55 yards — as time expired in the first half against Oklahoma, and he also made overtime field goals in both the semifinal and title games.

Blankenship is a sophomore, so he’ll be back in the to help the Bulldogs get back to the national championship stage. But until then, getting a shoutout on Jimmy Kimmel Live isn’t a bad consolation.
