Former Georgia kicker Blair Walsh has signed with the Seattle Seahawks, the team announced on Thursday.

The former Pro Bowler and first-team All-Pro will likely be the replacement for free agent kicker Steven Hauschka.

Walsh joins the team that he faced in probably the toughest moment of his professional career. His missed 27-yard field goal attempt against the Seahawks in the 2015 playoffs kept the Vikings from advancing to the divisional round.

The veteran kicker was 12-of-16 on field goal attempts in nine games in 2016. He was 15-of-19 on extra points. Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll commented during the season that Hauschka “had gotten into a little stink with kicking the extra points.” Hauschka had six extra point attempts that missed or were blocked in 2016.

Walsh played his first five NFL seasons with the Vikings. Minnesota drafted him in the sixth round of the 2012 NFL Draft.
