ATHENS — SEC Nation has settled on a new spot for its pregame show before Saturday’s game between Georgia and UMass.
Due to heavy rainfall this week, the popular show had to punt on its traditional set location on the Myers Quad off of Sanford Drive. Instead, they’ve moved to the other side of Baxter Hill to the front lawn of the beautiful Special Collections Library Lawn on North Campus. The new location is at the 300 block of S. Hull Street on the UGA campus.
Airing live from 10 a.m. until noon every Saturday somewhere in the Southeastern Conference, SEC Nation chose UGA and the No. 5 Bulldogs for this weekend’s broadcast. The show features Paul Finebaum, Laura Rutledge, Marcus Spears and Tim Tebow and delves into all the day’s storylines involving SEC football
This will be SEC Nation’s sixth visit to Athens and the 16th appearance on the show for the Bulldogs. SEC Nation also aired from Jacksonville, Fla., on Oct. 27 when Georgia and Florida played.
In addition to the live show Saturday, The Paul Finebaum Show Presented by Johnsonville airs from 3-7 p.m. Friday on SEC Network. Fans are invited to catch all four hours of #FinebaumFriday live from the SEC Network set at the Special Collections Library Lawn.
The Bulldogs (9-1, 7-1 SEC) play host to the Minutemen of the University of Massachusetts (4-7) on Saturday at 4 p.m. The good news is the wet weather that has saturated Athens for the first few days of this week should be long gone by then. Current forecasts call for mostly sunny skies and a high of 63 degrees around kickoff.
