Six more UGA football signees report to campus
Kirby Smart recently said that he expected all of UGA’s 2019 recruiting class to meet NCAA academic requirements and report to the Bulldogs this summer.
At least a half-dozen of the freshmen phenoms arrived in Athens, Ga., this week:
- 5-star defensive tackle Travon Walker
- 4-star receiver Dominick Blaylock
- 4-star defensive end Bill Norton
- 4-star running back Kenny McIntosh
- 4-star defensive end Zion Logue
- 4-star tight end Brett Seither
Those six incoming recruits were featured in a video released on Wednesday by UGA football’s Twitter account (see below).
Who is missing? Most UGA fans are focused on George Pickens, the 5-star receiver who flipped from Auburn to UGA on signing day. There’s also 4-star athlete Makiya Tonque, 4-star offensive tackl Xavier Truss, and 3-star defensive tackle Tymon Mitchell, along with graduate transfers – tight end Eli Wolf from Tennessee and receiver Lawrence Cager from Miami.
The rest of the freshmen signees are expected to report to campus over the next few days.
Smart’s words from last week: “We’ve got full expectations that everybody will be there in the summer to practice, to compete. All of those guys are finishing up, right now they’re in their finals depending on what state they’re in or where they are. I know they’re looking forward to getting into our place and start working.”
