Social media reaction: Georgia coaches and commits celebrate Robert Beal’s decision
Georgia waited until July 5th to unleash some fireworks on the recruiting world.
On Tuesday morning, the Bulldogs landed a commitment from 5-star defensive end Robert Beal. The Norcross, Ga. native was previously committed to Notre Dame, but months after reconsidering that initial choice, Beal ultimately decided to stay in state.
“I’m just a homegrown guy,” Beal said, according to ESPN. “I love my home, I love my state and I want to help bring a national championship back to Georgia.”
It’s a landmark moment for the 2017 Georgia recruiting class, and those associated with the program celebrated it as such.
