Back Porch Chat discusses QBs, Schotty’s and Chubb’s Heisman chances
ATHENS — Georgia is back on the practice fields at the Butts-Mehre complex as I write this. The Bulldogs are coming off a 51-14 win over Louisiana-Monroe in a game that was shortened to 50 minutes due to lightning in the area. I review the game, the play of the quarterbacks and the play-calling of Brian Schottenheimer with CineSports’ Courtney Fallon in this morning’s Back Porch Chat.
The thinking is the task will be considerably more challenging this week as Georgia heads out on the SEC road to face Vanderbilt in Nashville. It’s not like the Commodores (0-1) are tearing it up or anything. They still appear to be struggling under second-year coach Derek Mason. But as the Bulldogs can attest from their last visit to Nashville, anything can happen in a conference road game. Injuries and a controversial targeting call were the themes as Georgia dropped a 31-27 decision at Vanderbilt in 2013.
