Georgia Football fans can settle in each week for DawgNation Happy Hour — a weekly broadcast poured by Classic City Lager dedicated to having fun and previewing the Bulldogs’ upcoming opponent and discussing all the latest UGA football news. Join host Brandon Adams and former UGA All-American — and DawgNation analyst — Jon Stinchcomb each Thursday at 4:00 pm on the DawgNation video channels — including Facebook, YouTube and Twitter. This weeks edition of the DawgNation Happy Hour focuses on some recent comments from former UGA great David Pollack from a recent ESPN podcast on why he thinks D’Wan Mathis can be a special quarterback for Georgia.

DawgNation Happy Hour: David Pollack makes strong case for D’Wan Mathis as UGA QB

D’Wan Mathis is the quarterback Georgia needs to truly compete for a national championship according to former Bulldogs great — turned ESPN analyst — David Pollack, who spoke extensively and enthusiastically about Mathis on a recent edition of the ESPN CFB podcast.

I’ll share audio of what Pollack said on today’s show and discuss the latest on Mathis’ competition with JT Daniels with former UGA All-American Jon Stinchcomb.

We’ll also address the transfer drama that emerged this week involving former UGA safety Otis Reese — now at Ole Miss, and recent Tennessee transfer Cade Mays.

In addition to those topics, Jon will also discuss why he’s excited about the throwback uniforms the Bulldogs are set to wear against Arkansas, and we’ll discuss whether UGA is set up for an easy win for the Razorbacks in former UGA assistant Sam Pittman’s head coaching debut.

For more on what Pollack said about Mathis, and for Stinchcomb’s thoughts on the season opener, check out the latest edition of DawgNation Happy Hour, linked above.

And a special thanks to Creature Comforts’ Classic City Lager for making DawgNation Happy Hour possible this season.
