ATHENS — We conducted an experiment last night. We held our twice-weekly Facebook Live chat on Georgia athletics at night rather than in the early afternoon as normal. There’s supposed more people online between 8 and 10 p.m., so I’m told. So we fired up the ol’ Internet Machine at a little past 9, poured us a cold beverage and commenced with the show.

And lo and behold, a lot of folks joined in for the discussion. More than ever, I do believe. During the “broadcast,” Georgia’s Olivia Smoliga became the seventh Bulldog to qualify for the Rio Games (3 U.S., 3 Canada, 1 Finland). So that was exciting, and awkward, because I wasn’t watching and didn’t know what everybody was talking about.

Anyway, you can see all 42 minutes of my glorious exchange with Georgia fans in the video below. And thanks again for the hangout.
