Fan Sound Off: DawgNation thrilled with rout of Tennessee
Georgia fans spoke loudly and with glee about the Bulldogs’ decimation of Tennessee on Saturday in Knoxville.
The 41-0 victory showcased UGA’s strengths on both sides of the ball and was a national SEC coming-out-party of sorts for the defense, which handed Tennessee its first shutout since 1994.
Here are several comments for this week’s Zaxby’s Fan Sound Off, some of which are edited for space and clarity, posted on the DawgNation Facebook page.
Santiago D. Arn: “I have never seen a defense like this in back to back games under my favorite coach, Richt. Kirby has our alma mater looking special.”

Tristan Walker: “The last half of that game, it sounded on TV like a Georgia home game. That’s sad for one of the largest stadiums in the country.”
Lori Conaway Tomblin: “You can’t buy class and Nick Chubb has class. He’s going to be a giant in the NFL and any team would be lucky to him.”
Jimmy Moore: “Two straight games the defense has not allowed a touchdown. ‘What ‘cha gonna do when the Dawgs’ defense comes down on you?'”
Kevin Chapman: “The best thing about this game is all of the Tennessee commits saw this game. I hope we turn some of those recruits.”
Drew Dotson: “Did y’all forget that Jacob Eason led four come-from-behind wins last year? He had to step up last year when the run game was non-existent. Fromm has been lucky that none of his mistakes have lost a game.”
Clint Whiddon: “Who knows who is the better quarterback in a vacuum? All I know is that right now, with the combination of players around him, Fromm is making it click. I like Eason but, if it ain’t broke…”
