Fan Sound Off: ‘Seems like Kirby has changed the culture’ after UGA win over Mississippi St.
Georgia football fans had plenty to say across our Dawg Nation social platforms following Georgia’s dominant 31-3 win over Mississippi State Saturday night.
The win was a coming-out party of sorts at home for Jake Fromm, who solidified his spot at the UGA starting QB regardless of Jacob Eason’s injury status. Fromm completed his first eight attempts and finished 9-for-12 with 201 yards passing and two scores.
Here is a sample of fan comments from our Dawg Nation Facebook page. Some comments were edited for space, clarity and content.
romm runs this offense to perfection with our running backs. Great mix of veterans and freshmen on both sides of the ball. Great night to be a Dawg.”
Joseph Abraham: “I guess the espn geniuses missed the game. Florida beats Kentucky by 1 and the road to the SEC championship goes through Florida?”
Kirby is changing the culture I’m losing that feeling we are gonna do something to beat ourselves. Thank God for Kirby.”
Time for us to win all the games we are suppose to. The days of underachieving need to be over. We’ve got a chance to go on a run with our current talent and how we are recruiting.”
“We haven’t looked this good in a long time. Our guys stay hyped the whole game. It really seems like Kirby has changed the culture in Athens. So proud of our guys!”
So Eason will always win in ‘practice.’ However, Fromm will win in real time game situations. If Fromm wins in decidedly fashion on the road in SEC play at UT next week. it is locked to him.”
f Georgia brings it every week, the only team that can give Georgia problems this year is Alabama in the SEC championship game.”
The whole narrative has been UGA can’t win the big games.. Well Fromm has won two and our defense is playing lights out. Stick with the winning hand.”
