Florida legend Emmitt Smith reps Georgia on G-Day as son visits Bulldogs
Georgia’s annual spring game was a big day for recruiting, but one particular recruit — and his legendary father, Emmitt Smith — stole the show.
Smith, a Florida Gators legend, was seen repping Georgia gear in Athens over the weekend as his son, 2020 running back EJ Smith, visited Georgia.

If Georgia can land EJ Smith, fans could expect to see the UF legend in Bulldogs gear more often. EJ is currently a 4-star prospect according to 247Sports, but there’s a long way to go in his evaluation process. As it stands today, Smith is the No. 2 all purpose back in the country per the service.
EJ, who attends Jesuit High School in Dallas, has offers from Florida, Ohio State, Texas A&M, Arkansas and of course the Bulldogs. As things progress toward the 2020 recruiting class, he’ll continue to pick up more offers from some of the best programs in the country.
Emmitt Smith is arguably the greatest player in Florida history. He amassed 4,391 yards from scrimmage over just 29 games in three seasons with the Gators, scoring 37 total touchdowns. He’s also the all-time leading rusher in NFL history.
In the end, Smith’s ties to the Gators may be too much for Smart and the Bulldogs to overcome. Still, Georgia fans can take some solace in that these photos will exist forever.
