Former Georgia cornerback headed to Big Ten
ATHENS — Juwuan Briscoe, a former starting cornerback at Georgia, has found a new school, closer to home.
Briscoe will transfer to Rutgers, he announced on his Twitter account Saturday. He will have to sit out this season and then will have two years of eligibility remaining.
I can't thank God enough for allowing me to to do what I love again! Proud to say that I am 100% Committed to the University of Rutgers #B1G pic.twitter.com/2bqxMDCRjc

A native of Maryland, Briscoe started the Bulldogs’ first 4 games last year, then was benched during the loss at Ole Miss. He spent the rest of the season on second team and special teams, and during bowl practice it was announced that Briscoe was transferring.
Briscoe said last month that he had received a release that allowed him to go anywhere except within the SEC or to Georgia Tech.
