ATHENS — Former Georgia outside linebacker Shaun McGee will be continuing his career at the Division II level.
McGee, who has one year of eligibility remaining, has transferred to Tuskegee University, the school announced on Wednesday. Tuskegee is a historically black school in Alabama.
After playing sparingly during four years at Georgia, including a redshirt year, McGee announced during bowl practice that he would be transferring. He was one of four players who departed between the regular season and the bowl.
Two of the others also have found new schools: Receiver Shaquery Wilson at a junior college and cornerback Rico McGraw at Murray State, an FCS school. Cornerback Juwuan Briscoe’s destination has not been announced yet.
