DawgNation Happy Hour: 3 crucial questions that will decide UGA-Auburn

Georgia prepares Saturday for one of its biggest rivals, and for one of the most important games it will play this season, when it takes on Auburn.

UGA takes on the Tigers seeking to prove it’s better than the showing put forth at Arkansas last Saturday when the Bulldogs trailed at the half against the Razorbacks — despite having been a four-touchdown favorite.

The keys to victory for the Bulldogs certainly include leaning on one of the most vaunted defenses in America, but a UGA win can’t be secured by defense alone, and it’s on offense where most of the unanswered questions remain.

We’ll attempt to figure out some of UGA’s unknowns on this edition of the DawgNation Happy Hour including…

  • Who’ll start at quarterback, and how many of the Bulldogs’ signal callers will play
  • What to expect from UGA’s offensive line that struggled at times against Arkansas and also rotated a couple players at key positions
  • And a look at the possible playmakers that could emerge against Auburn

Jon also concludes this week’s show with his recollection of one of the most important UGA wins against Auburn — the 2002 game which featured a late miracle touchdown and allowed the Bulldogs to clinch the SEC East for the first time in program history. Jon tells the story of his challenge to his teammates at halftime that spurred a comeback after UGA quickly fell into a 14-0 hole to start the game.
