Former UGA All-American explains why Bulldogs will earn blowout vs. Vanderbilt

Georgia begins the 2019 season at Vanderbilt Saturday night as more than a three-touchdown favorite. Many Bulldogs fans who’ve waited through a long offseason are eager to see UGA win by at least that much, if not more. However, Vanderbilt hopes to have something to say about that. The Commodores have an unsettled quarterback situation, but three stellar offensive weapons — including running back Keshawn Vaughn, tight end Jared Pinkney and wide receiver Kalija Lipscomb.

They’ll present a challenge for the UGA defense.

We’ll discuss on this edition of the Marlow’s Matchup the key matchups that will determine what happens between UGA and Vanderbilt.

Some of the topics covered include…

  • The Bulldogs’ effort to improve their so-called “Havoc Rate”
  • The tens of thousands of UGA fans expected in Nashville
  • The challenge of opening in an SEC season on the road
  • And the challenge of overcoming possible first-game jitters for players who haven’t been in these atmospheres before

In addition to that, UGA fans can also hear from UGA coach Kirby Smart and Bulldogs quarterback Jake Fromm.

Tune in to the Marlow’s Matchup each Thursday night at 6:00 pm on the DawgNation video channels, and be sure to join DawgNation at various Marlow’s Tavern locations throughout the season for a live broadcast, and a chance to hang out and talk about the Bulldogs.
