Herschel Walker wants to fight in MMA, ‘down’ to fight former UFC champion
It’s been five years since Heisman Trophy winner and Georgia great Herschel Walker last fought in an MMA bout.
Now, at 54-years old, he wants back in the ring.
In an interview with TMZ Sports, Walker said he wants to fight in a real MMA fight this year. Walker said in the interview he’s had conversations with Bellator CEO Scott Baker about a fight before the end of the year. Bellator is an MMA fighting promotion company.
When Rampage Jackson’s name was suggested in the interview, Walker said he would be “down” to fight the former UFC light heavyweight champ. Jackson is 38 years old.
Walker has a career 2-0 record in MMA fights, but his last fight came in 2011.
To stay in shape, Walker has some unconventional methods.
Herschel Walker told me on @SiriusXMCollege that he currently does 1,500 push-ups and 3,500 sit-ups a day, usually while watching Judge Judy
