Hines Ward to Kirby Smart: Call me to coach at UGA
Hines Ward is lobbying for a job again at his alma mater, UGA.
Ward, the former UGA great who has been retired from the NFL since 2011, told WSB-TV’s Anthony Amey that he wouldn’t mind hearing from the new head coach of the Bulldogs in a segment that was broadcasted on Wednesday night. Ward was the MVP of Super Bowl XL.
“Hey Kirby Smart, if you are out there and you want a receivers coach, give me a call,” Ward said. “It would definitely be something that I’d have to think about.”
UGA already has a new receivers coach with James Coley, but Bulldog fans always seem excited with the idea of hiring Ward.
WSB will have full segment on Ward during Saturday’s Bulldogs GameWeek at 10 a.m.
