Here’s what Louisiana-Monroe coach Todd Berry and his players thought about Georgia.
Berry: “Georgia’s a very good football team. We can say that because we have experience playing against the top 10 every year, and they’re a very good football team. I said going in, it was going to be very tough for us to stop the run game, and obviously, we struggled with that significantly.”
Quarterback Garrett Smith on playing in Sanford Stadium: “It was what I expected. I knew it was going to be loud and a fun environment. And it was. I went out there and had fun.”
Receiver Rashon Ceaser on Georgia’s defensive backs: “Every game to me, I don’t look at it as which team or which conference, because everybody comes out and plays hard and competes.”
Linebacker Michael Johnson on Georgia’s running backs: “Georgia definitely has a stable of running backs. But missed tackles really come down to our defense. I missed a tackle on (Nick) Chubb in the backfield by having my head behind him instead of in front of him. … They are great backs, but it falls back on us.”
