ATLANTA — Pregame warm-ups are underway at the Georgia Dome in advance of the 5:30 p.m. kickoff. Here are things we’re noticing:

  • Sony Michel is on the field and in uniform. His left hand is in a light wrap. That doesn’t mean he will play because there’s no limit in how many players Georgia can dress for this game. He just caught a pass in the pass-catching drills with running backs.
  • Jacob Eason came out with the specialists and practiced holding for PATs and field-goal attempts. Looks like he will do that in the game, so he will at least make his debut in that category.
  • Tyler Catalina was working with the first team at left tackle, as expected.
  • Hines Ward is on hand for Kirby Smart’s debut at Georgia. The Bulldogs legend, who was quite a star in the NFL for the Steelers, played with Smart from 1995-97.
  • Rodrigo Blankenship was practicing kickoffs about an hour before game time, and William Ham was practicing field goals. That likely indicated that’s how they’ll split those duties in the game.
  • Though Brice Ramsey was going through punting drills, still expect Marshall Long to start. Ramsey has worked on pooch punts.
  • Practicing kickoff returns wereMichel, Mecole Hardman, Kirby Choates, Jayson Stanley, Isaiah McKenzie and Terry Godwin.
  • The first-string inside linebackers are Roquan Smith and Natrez Patrick.
  • No visor yet for Kirby Smart. We’ll see if that’s a pregame diversion.
