Sound Off: Chip and Seth talk about Jacob Eason, Jake Fromm and Notre Dame

ATHENS — Thanks for tuning in to the Zaxby’s Sound Off, with beat writers Seth Emerson and Chip Towers offering their thoughts on the Georgia football team. Each week your DawgNation writers offer up some thoughts on the Bulldogs – and this week there’s the little matter of that big game at Notre Dame to discuss, oh and also new starting quarterback Jake Fromm.

Just a little bit to discuss, eh?

Here is a short preview of the show for this week:

– Of course Fromm is subject No. 1. How will the true freshman handle starting at storied Notre Dame Stadium, on national television? Many fans believe Georgia is better off with Fromm rather than Jacob Eason, but Chip and Seth aren’t so sure.

– The match-up with Notre Dame, especially along the line of scrimmage. On one side of the ball, it’s good vs. good, and on the other it’s … well, Chip and Seth use different words.

– We also discuss what we learned, and perhaps what we didn’t learn, from Georgia’s 31-10 win over Appalachian State.

If you missed last week’s show, check it out here.

Also, as you may have noticed Chip is in South Bend all week. He has some thoughts from Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly on the match-up in the trenches. Here is that story.

Kelly also weighed in on Jake Fromm, who he knows a little bit from recruiting. You can read that here.

Georgia players, in case you hadn’t heard, seem to fully believe in Fromm, telling Seth this week that he is the “real deal” and has the “it factor.” You can read those quotes in full in this story.

Georgia defensive players, meanwhile, told our correspondent Tori McElhaney that they know they face a more difficult test this week. Here is that story.

We hope you enjoy the insights — and other stuff — on the show this week. And we hope you continue to read all our coverage on DawgNation.
