ATHENS — Get ready for another early gameday, tailgaters.

Georgia’s game against Southern on Sept. 26 is set for noon, the SEC announced on Monday. It will be broadcast on the SEC Network.

That’s the second noon kickoff of Georgia’s season so far, joining the opener against Louisiana-Monroe. This Saturday’s game against South Carolina, the second home game of the season, is at 6 p.m.

It’s no accident that non-conference games against weaker opponents get early time slots, due to TV holding prime time slots for higher-profile games. The other noon SEC games on Sept. 26 are South Carolina hosting UCF and LSU visiting Syracuse. Another non-conference game – Louisiana-Monroe at Alabama – is set for 4 p.m. on the SEC Network.
