Two Georgia football staffers get big raises
ATHENS — Bumps in pay have been doled out to the man who runs Georgia strength program, and the man who coaches its running backs.
Georgia running backs coach Dell McGee now will earn $350,000, a raise of $75,000, according to a document provided by UGA.
Strength and conditioning coordinator Scott Sinclair now will earn $300,000, a raise of $80,000, according to the same document.
Both McGee and Sinclair just wrapped up their first years at Georgia. McGee, a former head coach at Carver-Columbus High School and quality control analyst at Auburn, had been the running backs coach at Georgia Southern. Sinclair came from Marshall, where he had run that football team’s strength program the previous three years.
It’s always possible that raises or contract adjustments could be coming for other coaches. These are just the two that were effective as of Feb. 7, according to the document, which also confirmed the salary for new defensive line coach Tray Scott, at $400,000. (Previous defensive line coach Tracy Rocker was earning $525,000.)
Here is an updated list of the salaries for the nine full-time assistant coaches:
