Jeff Shaw lives in Michigan and couldn’t make it to Georgia’s 2017 G-Day football game in Athens on Saturday, but that did not stop this Bulldogs fan from showing his colors and pride at the Notre Dame spring game.
Shaw shared an image with DawgNation of himself at Notre Dame Stadium in South Bend, Ind., during the Fighting Irish Blue and Gold Game on Saturday. That game coincidentally took place at the same time as UGA’s Red and Black game.
Notre Dame hosts Georgia on Sept. 9. It marks the first time the teams have played since Georgia defeated Notre Dame 17-10 in the Sugar Bowl for the national championship on Jan. 1, 1981.
This past week, DawgNation columnist Chip Towers was in South Bend, reporting on the the progress Notre Dame is making after its 4-8 season last year.
Stay with DawgNation all spring and summer for the latest on this historic rematch, nearly 37 years in the making.
