Georgia’s Circle of Honor will grow by four members.
All-American softball player Nicole Barber, diving champion Chris Colwill, track and field standout Reese Hoffa and football All-American Thomas Davis will be inducted on Feb. 12, 2018, the school announced Sunday.
Barber is the school’s first softball inductee. She is Georgia’s all-time leader in stolen bases and hits, and she earned All-SEC honors in all four years at the school.
Colwill became the school’s first three-time NCAA champion, as he won the 1- and 3-meter diving championships in 2006 and won in the 1-meter again in 2008. He was also the SEC’s Diver of the Year in 2005, 2006 and 2008. He participated in the 2008 and 2012 Olympics.
Hoffa was a three-time All-American in the shot put at Georgia. He went on to compete in the 2004, 2008 and 2012 Olympics, winning a bronze medal in 2012.
Davis was a first team all-SEC and first team All-America player with the Bulldogs in 2004. The Carolina Panthers selected him in the first round of the 2005 NFL Draft, and he has been a stalwart for the Panthers since. He has earned All-Pro honors, and also was named the NFL’s Walter Payton Man of the Year award in 2014.
