Georgia fell five spots to No. 7 in the latest Amway Coaches Poll on Sunday, a day after getting beat by Auburn 40-17 in the Bulldogs’ first defeat of the season.

The Bulldogs (9-1, 6-1 SEC) didn’t get much going offensively against a tough Tigers defense and were held to 46 yards rushing. Georgia received 1,184 votes in the latest poll. It will welcome 7-3 Kentucky to Athens this weekend as Kirby Smart’s team tries to recover and get back on the path to a spot in the College Football Playoff.

Alabama stayed at No. 1 after defeating Mississippi State 31-24 in Starkville on Saturday night. Auburn, who will host Alabama in two weeks, rose four spots to No. 6. LSU jumped up four spots to No. 21 while Mississippi State fell one spot to No. 19.
