The calendar flipping to March brings with it epic tournament basketball and spring football, and two of Georgia’s fastest-rising stars are at the forefront of a new G-Day hype video from the Georgia football team.
Sophomore running back D’Andre Swift and sophomore quarterback Jake Fromm sit side by side in the video and describe what they’ve gone through since the heartbreaking loss in the National Championship Game, what the team is doing now, and what they’re looking forward to in spring practice.
Check out the video below:
"I think as many Dawg fans need to come out and support us, just so we can show them we're gonna be back."

“It’s kind of the end-all be-all for spring ball,” Fromm said in the video, piecing together a nice rhyme in the process. “It’s the last chance for guys to kind of show, you know, how far they’ve come in the spring.”
Fromm played in the G-Day game last spring for Georgia, while Swift had not yet arrived on campus. The game in April game will be his first on-field G-Day experience.
“Just the atmosphere, you know,” Swift said. “A lot of people in the stands really gets me going, lets you know that they’re looking at the team, see how the team is.”
This year will be the third-consecutive G-Day game in which fans will be eager to see a 5-star freshman quarterback make his Sanford Stadium debut. First it was now-transferred Jacob Eason in 2016 and then Fromm last year. Justin Fields will take the field in front of the Athens crowd for the first time this spring.
And in addition to encouraging fans to come out for the game, the video continues the overall theme that has been the message since Kirby Smart’s postgame press conference after the loss to Alabama in Atlanta in the National Championship Game.
“I think as many Dawg fans need to come out and support us, just so we can show them that we’re gonna be back,” Fromm said.
G-Day in Athens is Saturday, April 21. The scrimmage game will kick off at 4 p.m. ET. Admission is free.
