HOOVER, Ala. — It has been an active if not somewhat uneventful two first days here at The Wynfrey Hotel for the 2016 SEC Football Media Days. Georgia and coach Kirby Smart’s first appearance highlighted the second day on Tuesday. Along with Mississippi State, Texas A&M and Tennessee, that means we’ve seen seven teams so far. So we’re halfway through.

Smart made a good first impression as he addressed the huge media throng for the first time as Georgia’s head coach. Smart had to answer a few questions about the Bulldogs’ disciplinary problems and fielded numerous queries about who might start at quarterback and whether Nick Chubb or Sony Chubb would be available in the first game. But mostly the press took it easy on him.

At the end of the day, I answered questions from Georgia fans in a live Facebook chat. You can review the full half-hour session, which featured more than 800 comments on the DawgNation Facebook Page, in the video posted below.

Check back in with DawgNation on Wednesday morning for Day 3 of SEC Football Media Days and stay tuned for the Chip & Seth Show and more Facebook Live chats.
