Georgia football got a big win on Saturday against Florida, which means former Bulldog Maria Taylor got a win in a friendly wager with an ESPN colleague.
Taylor made a bet with fellow ESPN reporter Laura Rutledge, a Florida graduate, that the Bulldogs would come out on top in Jacksonville. She was right, which means Rutledge will have to pay up. Rutledge explained in a video on Twitter.
After some great analysis on the game and what it means for the future of both programs, Rutledge went into the real reason for her video.
“Another question I have for you guys: is anyone familiar with anywhere that I can get a Georgia jersey?” Rutledge asked. “Because I made this bet with Maria Taylor, and now I’m going to have to wear a Georgia jersey and do some Georgia cheers. I don’t know why I agreed to do this. But anyway, if anyone has some recommendations, send them my way.”
Well, you heard her Georgia fans. Send the ESPN reporter your recommendations for the best places to get Georgia gear. Just remember to be a good sport about it. And keep an eye out for when Rutledge and Taylor do those Georgia cheers together.
