WATCH: Georgia OL coach Sam Pittman has best reaction to Jamaree Salyer’s commitment
On Wednesday, Georgia landed a commitment from arguably its top target in 5-star offensive lineman Jamaree Salyer. And it’s safe to say that this made Sam Pittman, Georgia’s offensive line coach, a very happy man.
Pittman took to Twitter after the announcement to rejoice in the news. It’s wonderfully odd, complete with pom poms, a yezzir and a nice jersey.
Check it out below.

Pittman has built a great recruiting class for the Bulldogs and it could stand to get even better, as 5-star offensive tackle Cade Mays is set to announce his decision later this afternoon. If Pittman and the Bulldogs land Mays, as they are favored to, he would be the third offensive lineman to rank among the top 40 players in the country to commit to Georgia, joining Trey Hill and Salyer.
And if the Bulldogs land Mays, they would have in Salyer is the No. 1-ranked guard in the country, the No. 2 tackle in Mays, the No. 2 guard in Hill and the No. 5 center in Warren Ericson.
As the commitments and signing rolled in Wednesday morning, Georgia had the No. 2 recruiting class in the country, behind Ohio State, according to the 247Sports composite. And by the end of the day, Georgia could leap over the Buckeyes for the No. 1 spot.
