Jacob Eason’s first touchdown pass in Sanford Stadium couldn’t have come at a better time.
The freshman quarterback, who got his first career start on Saturday, hooked up with Isaiah McKenzie for a 66-yard touchdown in the third quarter. The touchdown gave the Bulldogs the lead, shortly after Nicholls State took its first lead of the game.

After Eason’s touchdown pass, the Bulldogs recovered a fumble and scored to take a 26-14 lead. The Bulldogs went for two and did not convert. Eason also threw for a touchdown in last week’s win against North Carolina.
