In lieu of being invited into the College Football Playoff and playing for a national championship, Central Florida has merely decided that beating Auburn in the Peach Bowl is enough to claim a national title.

UCF is claiming a national title, paying coaches national title bonuses and planning parades.

So leave it to the fine folks at SEC Shorts to perfectly parody how Georgia and Alabama would react to finding out about the news.

Check out the video below. It’s pretty great.

UCF has an interesting case to make, especially when you consider some of the past national championships that schools claim. But in 2017, pulling this kind of thing is a little ridiculous. Obviously a Group of 5 team doesn’t have a fair chance of making the College Football Playoff, but to say that they’re a better than either Georgia or Alabama is absurd.

Georgia also beat Auburn when the two teams met in the SEC Championship game and didn’t have to play a 3-9 UConn to get there. And Alabama just dominated the No. 1 ranked Clemson Tigers, thoroughly validating the idea that they belonged in the College Football Playoff.

Alabama and Georgia play for the national title on Monday in Atlanta. The game begins at 8:17 ET.
