In a scary moment before the Sugar Bowl, the Texas mascot went after UGA’s mascot. Fortunately, no people or animals were injured.

The Texas mascot is “Bevo,” a longhorn steer that weighs around 1,800 pounds. Georgia’s famous mascot is “Uga,” a much smaller English bulldog.

Before the Sugar Bowl, both mascots were on the sidelines, while a pack of photographers snapped away with pictures.

However, it got scary when Bevo suddenly charged towards Uga with its horns. Uga looked like a 5-star with his quick reaction, jumping out of the way. Fortunately, Bevo’s handlers pulled back the steer before it got ugly.

See the video below.

Not sure who thought getting those two … that close together … around dozens of people … in a loud environment … with Uga wearing a bright red sweater … was a good idea. What could possibly go wrong?

Nevertheless, no one was injured.

Let’s hope Georgia’s football team shows the same cool and calmness as Uga during the Sugar Bowl.
