When unranked South Carolina pulled off an upset for the ages over then-No. 3 UGA last month, Gamecocks coach Will Muschamp seemingly bought another year of patience from the team’s fans.

My, have things changed in the last few weeks.

Since the epic upset on the road at Georgia, South Carolina has fallen flat on its face.

The Gamecocks have lost three out of the last four games, with the low point being South Carolina’s 20-15 loss to Appalachian State on Saturday night.

The loss dropped South Carolina to 4-6 on the season, threatening the Gamecocks’ chances of reaching a bowl game. They have to win their last two games – at Texas A&M and vs. the reigning national champion.

Muschamp is now the focus of hot-seat rumors. Hard to believe how much has changed in only a few weeks.
