One second, you think you’re going to the national championship game. The next, you’re being escorted out of the building.
That was what happened to one Auburn fan following the Tigers’ controversial loss to Virginia in the Final Four.
Auburn held a 62-60 lead with 1.5 seconds left. Virginia’s Kyle Guy hoisted a desperation 3-pointer that missed as time expired. Naturally, many Auburn fans thought they had won, including one in the arena who proceeded to dump his beer on his head.
But there was a foul. The refs called Auburn’s Samir Doughty on a foul with 0.6 seconds left. Guy stepped to the line and calmly knocked down all three free throws. Auburn missed its final shot, and the Tigers were sent home, ending a magical run to the Final Four.
Back to the man who poured the beer on his head. His night had taken a turn for the worst. In the video below, he is seen arguing with someone. According to Bleacher Report’s Master Tesfatsion, the man was arrested.
As a heads up, there is some inappropriate language in the video below.

Even admit the controversial loss this was a great season for Auburn, and something Georgia fans hope to experience of their own some day under Georgia basketball coach. This was the first time in program history Auburn had advanced to the Final Four and it came agonizingly close to going to its first national championship game. But alas, it was not meant to be.
The man who poured beer on his hand wasn’t the only fan to think the Tigers had a won. A number of Auburn fans had started rolling Toomer’s Corner after they thought the Tigers had beaten Virginia.
